Late ‘700
Benedetto Cosenza had got by Ferdinand I king of two Sicilies the fiefdome of Poggio di Bortolone
1795
Started the building of the historical ancient cellar, with the mill and the oil mill
1876
Ignazio Cosenza expanded the cellars with the building of a new winery and of a new barrel cellar
1893
Poggio di Bortolone wines rapresent Sicily at CHICAGO EXPO 1893
1920
Domenico, Ignazio’s son continues the family tradition at the head of the cellar
1976
Ignazio Cosenza, father of actual owner, decided to give a new compulsio, starting to bottle the wines and EVO Oil. Was born Poggio di Bortolone.
1982
We bottled the fist vintage of the Cerasuolo di Vittoria Classico, Poggio di Bortolone.
1986
Were introduced some innovations, stainless steal sided by sided oak and chestnut barrel.
1996
Beginning a serious of experimentation in vineyard and I the cellar . It was introduced new grapes: Syrah, Cabernet-sauvignon and Petit verdot
1999
It was experimented the use of barriques for the aging of the Cerasuolo di Vittoria Wine, obtaining the firt vintage of the most representative wine: The Para Para.
1998-2002
At the beginning of the new century were created Pigi, Petitverdò and Addamanera

After completing his university studies, Pierluigi started managing the winery
2005
During the summer 2005, whit enormous satisfaction , thanks to the dedication, and hard work of the Cosenza family, the Estate has obtained the Denomination of Origin Controlled and Guaranteed (DOCG) Cerasuolo di Vittoria
2009
Ignazio e Pierluigi made a new modern cellar, a new 'state of the art' winery has been created
2015
Rediscovering an ancient tradictional vinification, Rosachiara, a rosè wine, made with Frappato and Nero d’Avola was created
